This looks like Amelia in 1841:

    George Mattocks 60 Occ Appraiser
    Rebecca Mattocks 35
    Amelia Mattocks 15 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
    Sarah Mattocks 15
    Charlotte Mattocks 13
    Mary Mattocks 11
    Henry Mattocks 9
    Adeline Mattocks 7

All born in Middlesex. Living at 31 Circus Street, marylebone.

But George could be father, grandfather or other relation and the same sort of possibilities for Rebecca. Maybe they are together in 1851 which would tell you if they are husband and wife....also if there should be any more children then you might get a birth reg for one of them.

Rebecca is with her dau Adeline in 1851. Rebecca says she is married, not widowed, but her husband isn't at home.

Hmmmm.....I've found a George Mattocks, married, no wife, living in Marylebone with a son, Harry 19, which would fit with Henry 9 in 1841, but he has no job which might have clinched it and is also 55 when he was 60 in 1841. The age might be wrong on either, neither, or both, of course!

Rebecca is a widow on the 1861 census

On the 1851 census George had a middle initial J

This could be his marriage (IGI):

            GEROGE JAMES MATTOCKS
            Marriages:
            Spouse: REBECCA SHORT
Marriage: 16 OCT 1821 Saint James, Paddington, London
Messages: Extracted marriage record for locality listed in the record

Was Thomas Langhorn also born in St Marylebone? I can see that Amelia died not long after the 1851 census, but I can't find them on that one to check his birthplace.

I'm not having so much luck with him :(

There is another Thomas Langhorn marrying an Elizabeth Richards in Bloomsbury in 1808, listed in Pallots Marriage Index and as Langhorn seems to be a more northern name, I think it's very possible these are his parents, or uncle etc.
