  • Help with 1841 please

    HO107
    Piece 793;
    Book: 5;
    Civil Parish: Great Yarmouth; Folio: 43
    Page: 34

    Help please to work out the names at the bottom right hand side.

    I think I have sorted them out to be Ann Balls, Robert and John plus 2 others Louisa and Eliza Bray. On the next page is one other person in the household which has been transcribed as Merrie Dodd, but somehow I can't make that out. Any ideas please?

      I favour either Maria or Marie but still not sure of the Dodd. It doesn't look right as a "d" and the d's in the ditto marks are not quite the same.

        There's a marriage for a Maria Dodd and Richard Smith in 1845 .... Mitford, Norfolk ...

        Maybe that's her ... looking on the 1851 census to see if the age fits

        Oh well there's nothing conclusive .....

          For some reason Ancestry census pages aren't loading for me. Just when I have a few minutes to do something :(

            The 'D' s at the ends of his words are not quite the same as when they begin a word

            There's a Richard and someone with what looks like the surname Godfrey

            I've not got the images open now but think they're on the next page
