      Twiley?

I think the down stroke of the Y may have been left off on the photocopy like the bottom of the g of registrar.

Twiley. My gunsmiths had moved to Enfield by 1890.

Looking on FreeBMD, Turley does seem more likely than Twiley. Though I can't see the marriage on there.

Mmmm ... Turley does seem possible as well. There is no apparent . over an i as the writer does in registrar and Davidson. The r would match others too.

well I never did he was Reginald Slater orphaned when very young and I found a prayer book and some other stuff with the name Frank Turley on !!!! I was hoping somebody would say that as we think his aunt and uncle brought him up who were maybe Turley
The only thing is on the marriage reg which I found for a james Slater in 1906 which is I believe his father it says he married a Mary Ann Smith ??????????????????
                  There is something wrong here

Mary Ann could have been married before though or Aunt Turley could have been a Smith

There's three possible marriages on FreeBMD for a Mary ann Turley to a Smith

One in Birmingham in 1891 (Francis Smith), one in Westbury in 1898 (Arthur James SMith) and one in Maidstone in 1902 (John Doulton Smith)
