There have been recent messages regarding the Woolwich Arsenal personnel records being held in Wales.
I telephoned today regarding my g.grandfather's records.
The lady I spoke to told me that the records were being transferred to Oxfordshire in four to five weeks time and if a prompt reply was required to apply within the next two weeks. She also told me that they had some records going back to the early 1800's and that they search their records "for free". The only information they need in order to search the records is the full name and date of birth, however unfortunately some records are missing.
