I would have thought Blaby was a bit far out if he was still living with his daughter.
This map shows where they were living in 1881 (I assume Carlton Cottages was more or less at the junction of Carlton street and Lower Brown Street):
Lower Brown St, Leicester, UK - Google Maps
I have found a possible, but it's a bit speculative.
The Welford Road cemetery records show the burial of a Thomas Bryan aged 65 on 7 February 1889. His address is given as New Humberstone.
The matching death on FreeBMD seems to be this one:
Deaths Mar 1889
BRYAN Thomas 65 Billesdon 7a 16
I think there was a workhouse at Billesdon, so it could be that he ended his days in the workhouse hospital and they got his age wrong.
Not sure if New Humberstone would come under Billesdon registration district, but Carlton Cottages certainly wouldn't.Last edited by Mary from Italy; 06-04-08, 16:39.

Just done a bit of back-tracking and don't think the Blaby death is the right one - deaths at Narborough would be registered at BlabyLast edited by LeicestershireLass; 30-06-13, 09:34.Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today ~ follow your dream!
