  • Marriage of Jane GILBERT to COOPER

Need new eyes...can anyone find marriage of Jane GILBERT & John COOPER after 1851. Jane was born 1827 in Teston,Kent, daughter of John & Jane Gilbert. So I am presuming they married in Kent, maybe in Aylesford.
    Thanks

Yes it is. Maybe they went to London to get married. Couldn't find any others I'm afraid.

Islington is in north London. I think this is where my gt grandmother married her 2nd husband but I can find no trace of it.

Of course this might not be the right marriage - but sometimes people do get married in unexpected places. Husband's gt gt grandparents married in Romford although they spent all the rest of their lives in Covent Garden, London. They could have married in either St Paul's, Covent G (actor's church) or St Martin in the Fields, which are both lovely. The Romford connection seems to be that an aunt of gt gt grandmother was living there and I can only assume she acted as Matron of Honour.

Barming and Teston are both in Maidstone registration district.
This is probably Elizabeth's birth reg:
