This is the Cheeseman family in 1881 in Hackney, London:
Wm Cheeseman Head Mar 32 Brickr. Labr. Surrey
Margt Cheeseman Wife Mar 26 Midx
Fredk Cheeseman Son Unm 3 Newcastle on Tyne
Ellen Cheeseman Daur 2 Midx
Wm Cheeseman Son 3 mo Midx
It looks as though William senior died in 1888 age 40 in the district of Pancras.
In 1901 at Stephen Street, St Pancras:
Margaret Cheeseman Head Wid 45 Charwoman London
James Do Son 15 do
Margaret Do Daur 13 do
I've found Frederick and William jr in 1891 at the St Pancras School in Watford, Hertfordshire, and James in the Downlands Convalescent Home at Rottingdean, Sussex (nearly all the children there are from London), but I can't find either of the Margarets or Ellen. Can anybody else see them?
