I've just come across a booklet (60 pages) about the emigration of German Lutherans to South Australia beginning in 1838 and continueing for 20 years or so.
The main story is about Fredrich Herbig and his Polish wife Caroline, and their 16 children, but includes some details about the trip, and the early days of the family.
Is this of interest to anyone with German Lutheran or Polish ancesters? The literary style leaves something to be desired (!), but it does give a flavour of the lives they led. Anyone want it?
Bee.
Back later this evening, to see if anyone's interested.
