  • I'm a bit lost and need so help...... Royal Navy records

I have been chatting to my Dad about my Grandpa. My Dad told me that a few years ago my brother put into Goggle “ Royal Navy records” and found all my Grandpa’s info.
I have done this and only found a tiny bit about him. Any ideas of how I could find out more would be gratefully appreciated.
I think I'm here but I get lost a lot.

Have you checked the National Archives site to see if there is anything there available to download.

Not sure how or where you would find service records instantly available online.

Hi Elaine, no I didn't think of looking there. My brother can't remember where he got the info from but did have a lot of it but has missplaced the paper work he had. I will try looking the National Archives site now. Thank you.

Here's the link to the search screen

The National Archives | DocumentsOnline | Refine Browse Criteria

Records are available online up to 1923.

There is a small fee to download the record.

I would think it highly unlikely that anyone's service records would be instantly available online.
