The World of Wills

Trying to find someone's Will is a new experience for me and would appreciate some advice as to how I can go about this. The particular Will in question would have been made between 1914 and 1920 I think.

As a non family member would I be able to gain access to the detail of the Will or is this not possible.

Wills, once proved, are public documents, so yes, anyone can obtain a copy.

Have you looked in the WIKI? There is a lot of info on how to obtain wills in there.

Wills can certainly be very useful - asuming there is a will. If you can find the details and order it in person its much better than sending off for a search which takes several weeks (well it did last time I tried) and relies on someone else looking who may not take acount of spelling variations etc.
