  • Can anyone find Elizabeth Wells after 1851?

I am tearing my hair out trying find her.

    Elizabeth WELLS

    1851 she was living with her sister and her husband HO107; Piece 1732; Folio: 441; Page: 35;
(she is the 29 year old)

I can't see any sign of her after that.

    No marriage or death.

    There is a death in Dec 1863 (3a 426)
but I think it probably a baby born the same year (Jun 3a 630)

It's not the marriage in Sep 1853 (3a 961) Thats another relation and I have the cert.

The other possible marriage in 1865 (Dec 3a 1221) isn't her either. That one married Isaac Cook and is far too young and born in the wrong place RG10; Piece: 1457; Folio: 68; Page: 49

She just seems to have fell off the planet

      Oh well done Rachel.

Yes I think that is her.

Her sister married a Quatremaine, many spellings of the name.

      Thank you so much

good question :( can't figure it out but the first letter looks like a lower case "c"

There's a William on the previous census who's a clerk ... but it doesn't look like clerk to me ....

Well I think I have just found him in 1841 and 1851 and he was a book keeper and then a clerk.

              Found the marriage too.
              St Saviour, Southwark. Mar 1857 1d 1

Would never have thought of looking there.

Looks like he was the brother of her brother in law.

              He is dead by 1871,
