Coleman look up 1861c please.

Patrick Coleman 1829c Mayo Ireland and wife Mary 1831c Ireland,
By 1860 they had
Margaret Coleman dau 1854 Standish Wigan Lancashire.
Michael Coleman son 1857 Standish Wigan Lancashire.
Mary Coleman dau 1860 Wigan Lancashire.

1871c RG10; Piece: 4148; Folio: 187; Page: 60, 7 Whip St Burnley lancashire. transcribed Colman.

1881c, RG11; Piece: 3762; Folio: 49; Page: 4 ..14 Mitchinsons Yard Scholes Wigan Lancs, miner trans Coleman.

I would be grateful if someone could look for the family cause I cant see them, thanks..

Ive just ordered the marriage cert for Patrick and Mary Feeney so maybe what will help. My last 6 certs for different families have all led to Irish

Maybe Elaine but hes a miner on all the other census and Mary is born Wigan not Manchester so not sure yet, thanks..

I did think it was a rather drastic change of occupation. Trying to find that same family in 1871 to see if I can rule them out.

That ref was the only logical one I could find as well, but was "put off" by the fact that the baby aged 4 months is a William, and not a Mary...

or am I missing something?

Your not missing anything Julie,

The 2 later kids they had were Eliza 1863 Standish Wigan Lancs
and Dominic 1865 from Oldham Lancashire.

Ill just have to keep looking

But the Mary in the 1871 census was born c1862 - so would not have been on the 1861 census.

I cannot find the Collovan family (from the 1861 census that I found) in 1871.
