  • Could someone do a quick Ancestry check?

I feel like I'm going mad. After days of Ancestry playing up, I'm finally getting some results....but.....

Can someone please check the following and see if you get the same results.

1841 Charleton, Devon. William Shepherd born 1840. or Sarah Shepherd born 1838.

The image is fine for both (they are siblings) but when you click on "View Record" the rest of the family are all Ann Brown??????

Then.....1851 Charleton, Devon....same family...Mary G Shepperd (sic) born 1843. Click "View Record" and you get all John Helmes?????

It is happening with every name I put in....you get the one you want but everyone else on the record is another name (but all the same name, just different ages). Sounds odd.....you have to see it to believe it.

    Is it just me???

    Thanks.

The same was happening a couple of days ago with searches on the 1851 census.

Have you checked the image - the ones for the 1851 censuses were correct images, just a wrong transcription of names.

I've checked William Shepherd and I get lots of Ann Brown's too. Most odd...!
      Kind regards,

Yes 1851 is all John Helmes.

The images are fine, though, so I suppose that's the main thing.

Glad it's not just me. I'm ready to think I'm mad...
