    Can anyone read the occupation for Samuel Cordingley in 1841 (he's on the 2nd page

    Looks more like mason than any other occupation I can think of.

        I thought that too, but it seems an affluent area, there are lots of Mariners there so maybe that could be it?

          Thanks everyone, hopefully I will find them in 1851 to confirm either Mason or Mariner (or probably Labourer by then;))
