  • Have exported gedcom from gr

and its arrived in an email.

However it won't let me open it or save it.

Must have done it before as I managed to upload it here -

so what do I need to do?

I've used a LDS Paf before but haven't got any other ft software

Are you on a different computer from the last time, perhaps?

Do you have the LDS PAF program on the computer you are using.
If so you may have to open the program and then import the gedcom file into the program.

Mary of Italy might be able to help - she is the PAF expert!

        You called?

JBee, the first thing you need to do is to save the gedcom file you received from GR somewhere on your computer - you should be able to do that by right-clicking on the file icon attached to the e-mail.

Once you've got it saved, on your desktop or wherever you like, click on The Wiki at the top of this page, and select the Wiki Main Page, which takes you to our reference information section. Enter the word PAF in the search box, and you'll find lots of tips about using PAF.

There isn't a specific section yet about uploading your Gedcom to FTF, but I'll add one shortly.

Sorry too much has been happening over the last week or so that I can't get my head around it all at the minute.

Thank You for info and I've noted what you've said and will have a look at the Wiki too.

            Thanks again
