Do you have a place and year of birth for your Isabel?

For furture ref, don't forget you can search on FindMyPast including marital status.

You can also search (on FMP) for people named Jarvis with someone in the house called Isabel Jarvis and find (in this case) her spouses forename.

                        Mght be useful another time!

Ignore that - just seen the advanced search button!

Erm, the birth reg is "Isabella" and no middle initial.

Sorry Merry you're right - I have so many scribbles here, i'm confusing myself.

Although I have just found a death for Frederick Charles Jarvis - b.1862 d.1905 Islington.

It could be possible then that she was infact a widow when she married Mr Ingott and not a spinster as she claimed!!!!

Now why would she do that? Or is this one a red herring and the other on in 1881 the correct one?

Have you looked for her in 1901 (single)?

WHo did she say her father was when she married as a spinster?

                                  Did she give an age?

Sorry got side tracked last night with the telly :o

I haven't managed to find Isabella born Marylebone in 1901 (or 1891) but I did find Isabel J Jarvis (transcribed James) in 1901 with her husband and 3 children.

I can't find their marriage cert, but I must have it as I have the cert reference noted (the 2 on the cert) I think my step-dad may have it, I will try and get hold of him to check out fathers details.
