  • 1851 help please!

    Please could a someone have a look on the 1851 census for

    FRANCES BECK born abt 1841 Marylebone.

    Mother was SARAH beck (1807 Holborn) and is with sons WILLIAM and CHARLES on the 1851, but no sign of FRANCES.
    ref HO107; Piece: 1513; Folio: 320; Page: 48

    I've looked and looked but no luck. Have her on the 1861 as a servant in Paddington.

    She is transcribed as niece

    In the household are:
    Francis Beck Niece aged 10 bn Middlesex
    Francis Maunder head aged 42 bn Middlesex
    Harriet Sutton visitor aged 61 bn Bath

      I've just this minute found this one - the name is the boy's spelling! Doh!!

      This must be her.

            I usually remember the two spellings by thinking Frances is her and Francis is him.

            I've got a few in my tree that have been spelt wrong in the parish registers and census, so can get a bit confusing! Had me hunting for a male when I should have ben looking for a female!
