I had decided it was time for some more certs to add a bit of rigour to my records, and sent off last week for five. The predicted despatch date was 15 Feb 2008 - but three arrived today! :D
Mainly they have served to tidy up some loose ends - confirm what I had deduced already. However, the death cert for my Gx3-g-father shows that the Coroner's Court found that he was
on 10 April 1838 in South Newington, Oxfordshire.
From reading other threads, I gather there's little chance of any Coroner's Court reports being in any archives anywhere, but that I might find a newspaper report if I hunt in the right places? Looks like I'd better get in touch with the Oxfordshire FHS again!
