If you know the name of the workhouse, you could check the registers?

failing that, is there anything on the IGI? for a bapt?

You would Probably have to email them, or goto the Records office which would probably have the registers there.

I know My Gt Gran was born in the workhouse, but this was 1847. and the master of the W/H registered the birth.

is doubtful you would find a record of her birth at the workhouse online.

The person would have been baptised though, and this will be recorded in the relevant church registers.

Also, look for a Bastardy Order in the Poor Law Records (I am assuming illegitimate, sorry!)
