  • Born 1798, Possibly died 1886 - Missing

I am trying to find Judith Mackley born 1798 Norwich, Norfolk

I have found a death in the indexes for a Judith Mackley b.1798 died 1886 West Ham.

I have tried finding this Judith on all the census 1841-1881 and no luck, Can anyone else see her?

Before I order the death cert I want to eliminate the possibility that she is NOT the wife of a Mr Mackely

I've just had a look on my Norfolk Marriage index and I can't find a Judith marrying a Mackley anywhere, or a marriage for Judith Mackley.

How do you know if Judith's surname was her maiden or married name?

My Judith was the sister of Emily Mackley who married Joseph Allpress

I was hoping to find her on a census to check if she is listed as unmarried, married or widowed, because there is always the chance she died before 1841

Problem is that if she died between 1841-51 and was married you won't know. Without her married name (if she was married) it would be v.difficult to be sure you'd found her 1841, especially if she'd moved away from Norfolk.

Exactly which is why I am hoping to find the Judith who died in 1886 to see if it is or isn't her

Sorry computer kicked me off line last night, I wasn't ignoring you

I did see the Mary ones, they show her a married/widowed so possibly not mine.

And Judith Norman is sadly no use either - I'm gonna have to order the cert arn't I?

Well I add it to my list, Thanks all for looking
