  • Armed Forces Lapel Badge

    This is a free Veterans lapel badge for all Men and women who Served in HM Armed Forces before and/or during World War II.

    Service after World War II
    Men and Women who enlisted in HM Armed Forces between 3 September 1945 and 31 December 1994 are entitled to a Veterans Badge. There is no qualifying length of Service.

    Pat, thanks so much for that link, I've just told my OH about this as he spent from age 19 to 43 as a Regular then another 8 years with TA.

        Armed Forces Badge isn't just War Service its up to about 1994 now - it moves time frame - it was 1959 when first issued.

        There is also one for Merchant Seamen who served alongside the Forces (conditions apply).

        Also the Land Girls have also just been awarded one too. Defra, UK - Farming - Working in farming - Women's Land Army

        However the individual still has to be alive to claim them!!!!

        or a Widow/widower in certain circumstances if they receive a Widows/Widowers War Pension from the Service Personnel and Veterans Agency
