My daughter and l will be going to Dudley Archives one of the days next week.
We are willing to do look ups, if you have the church and year. Cannot do blanket searches.

Areas covered are:- Dudley, Stourbridge, Kingswinford, Oldswinford, Brierley Hill, Sedgley, Gornal.

If you do go, any chance of looking for the baptism of Elizabeth SIVETER / SIVETOR.

Baptised according to the IGI on 10 Jun 1812 at St Thomas, Dudley. Mother Elizabeth SIVETER.
Wonder if it mentions a father.

There is also a Sarah SIVETER mother Elizabeth bap 19 Apr 1807. (IGI) same church

Just wondered if the PR's hold anymore info than the IGI

Mind you, can't get any further. Don't know anything about Elizabeth the mother.

If you are able to look at the marriages for St Thomas, Dudley 1873, I would love to confirm a marriage which I think should be in December for Thomas Hewins to Mary Anne Turner. I'm hoping the PR may detail fathers +/witnesses.

Hi Pam,

I assume so, but haven't yet found the link. There are certainly a lot of Dudleys in that area, but mine were in Foleshill (Coventry) from about 1760 onwards ....

Now if anybody can find Thomas Dudley?????

Actually if I make a blind leap of faith and pick a Thomas b about the right time ... I suddenly find I can track them back to 1500 - ish ..... ;)

Would you be able to check a marriage at Rowley Regis, please.

The names are Samuel Clark and Matilda Clarke and it took place on the 3rd Jan 1830. The 'e' is interchangable between Clark/es!

I think (hope!) that the bride was actually Reatilda Clarke.
If is the right one, and fathers are recorded they should be Samuel & William.

According to the West Midlands BMD, Timothy White was born in Tipton. This would come under Sandwell RO. Sorry.
