  • Another Goulson mystery!!

    William Goulson

Burial record; William GOULSON Date 31 Jan 1863 Aged 22 Place Lincoln, St Swithin

The only death registration near the time in the surname is for a female in a different part of the country. He doesn't appear in the census that i can find although there is a Goulson family in St Swithin in '51 and '61 with assorted relatives but none by the name of William.

Who the heck is this chap????

There's a death for a William Coulson in Lincoln in 1863. I wonder which is the correct version?

It could be either i suppose, the images do say Coulson but i know from a couple of MI transcriptions that Coulson is often substituted for Goulson (the G seems to weather on stones quite badly at times).
