Having a spot of bother.
Got a death certificate today to confirm which one of two possibles was my 3 x great grandfather Charles Gloster.
All hunkydory and I got the right one Charles Gloster aged 81 formerly Coach Plater of the parish of St Pauls Covent Garden. he died in the Strand Union Workhouse. died 7th May 1900.
Here's my confusion..... you lot helped me decide which one to order by working out some bits from the 1891 census where there's a similar entry for a Charles Gloster born in London - but now I can't find my Charles Gloster in 1891.
I know I'm going bonkers
He's very unsure of his birthplace and varies between Handsworth in Staffordshire, Birmingham, Walsall and Yorkshire!!
everything points to it actually being Handsworth but who knows where he was saying it was in 1891.
his wife is Jane born c1825 in Walsall.
Help, please.
Yours in a quivering curled up ball
