I'd love you to do millions of look ups for me - unfortunately I don't have the church name so, I hope you have a wonderful time and find all you're after.

Is the city library you're using?

The parish records are at Manchester Central library

Lancs BMD sometimes gives the name of the church

        Marriage Lookup Olive Sutcliffe

        Hi Pat,

That is a very generous offer, I've been trying to get to Tameside local studies for a while to check this, so if you do have time and it's not any trouble please could you look up:

Olive SUTCLIFFE marriage to George KAY at Ashton under Lyne St Michael in 1861 (LancsBMD ref CE4/15/195)

September quarter (FreeBMD ref Ashton 8d 737)

        Thank you,

        Jean

              Many Many Thanks

              Hi Pat,

Many thanks for this, I really appreciate your time and effort.

This is definitely "my" Olive - how many Hargreaves Sutcliffe's can there be (actually in my experience so far, many more than you would think!!).

I also know who Sarah Ann Tinker is so that is extra confirmation.

Jean (very happy and off to search for Olive Kay..... )
