  • Lost in 1891!

I'm trying to find Robert and Ann Hodges in 1891. This is what I know

Robert born c1838 in Shoreditch, London, and a general/provison dealer in previous census. He died in 1902
Ann born c1838 in Bethnal Green, London. Ann died in 1895.

This is the family in 1881 living at 39 Banner Street, St Lukes.
    RG11/0365/18 page 30.

I know that daughter Ann my (g grandmother) married in 1882.

    Hope somebody can find them.

I'm off to work now, but will check in at lunch time if there are any queries about this.

    Thanks in advance for trying

The 1881 census shows Robert's place of birth as Hertfordshire.

I cant see them - but 39-43 Banner Street has not been enumerated on the 1891 census - listed as Mission Hall.

        Hi Elaine

Thanks for trying. 1881 census is incorrect as all the prior census sightings show Shoreditch as Robert's place of birth. Looks as though they will have to stay lost unless somebody else can find them
