About the 1911 census, I contacted Scotlands People.

Today I got a reply

The reply says.....

Good afternoon Sharon,

You are essentially correct. The 1911 Census project and ScotlandsPeople are
quite separate projects both of which Scotland Online has an involvement.
Ultimately this means that there will not be the automatic addition of 1911
England & Wales Census records on SP - after all we do not have any other
non-Scottish records on SP.

Hiya OC.... sorry I should have explained my question :D
There was a lot of confusion on here the other day about the fact that Scotland online are in partnership with the National Archives re; the digitalizing of the 1911 census.

Some people thought this meant that Scotlands People were going to get the 1911 census and then people would be forced to pay on SP when they already have ancestry subs etc.

Some people thought Scotland Online and Scotlands People were the same site. However that part of the confusion was cleared up and whilst I didn't for a minute think that SP would have the census for England &Wales on there I thought I'd contact them and ask :D

I told her "Mind an give L a ring" and she said "I already did"

I asked when and how an she said "L text me so I rang her but had to be quick coz of credit" :D
