  • I have a huge headache

I have a headache and I am going round in circles, and i need HELP
I am doing My friend in Aussie's tree and I have traced her maternal side back to a Harriett Flint c 1865 who married Henry Burnham c1861- Henery's father was Frederick Burnham c1840, His was Henry Burnham b c1804 Islington who married a Sarah ? Are you still with me
Now this is where I am geting very confused
In my tree I have a Henry Burnam b circ 1808 London, who Married a Sarah ? who at first looks to be the same person, but on ancestry one world tree there is a Henry c 1808 Notting Hill married to a Sarah Elliot married 7 Dec 1827 England, who moved to New York approc 1838,
Now I am trying to trace them all on the Census but am getting mixed up.
Does anyone have access to the us census and could they Pretty Please have a quick look for me to see if they can find Henry and Sarah.
Could this be a big coincidence or does it mean that my friend who I have know for 24 years is really part of my family !!!!!!

PS Harriet c 1865 Stoke Newington was one of 20 children all girls the only boy died.

    Hope that makes sense:o

I don't have access to the US census, but bear in mind that info on those one world trees can be very inaccurate!

Anyway, there are loads of Henry Burnhams, and Sarah was a very common name, so if I were you I would just ignore the possible USA connection and concentrate on establishing whether your Henry and your friend's Henry are the same as each other. I can't see Frederick on the English 1841 census just now?

I presume this is your ancestors in England in 1851:

          29 Albert Place, Islington, London
Henry Burnham Head Mar 47 Coal dealer Middlesex Islington
Sarah do Wife do 49 do do
James do Son U 16 Costermonger do do
Friedk do do do 13 do do
Emma do daur do 11 do do
John do Son do 7 do do

If that's them, then Frederick would have been born about 1837-8, not 1840. I'll have another look at the 1841 now... (still can't see them)
