Unusual name, looks like she was a Pain to start with married Thomas Dudley in 1873.

I think Sidonie [sic] was a popular girls' name at one time and Sidney has been used as a girl's name too. Apparently its derived from the French "Saint Denis" which would have been pronounced "Sandeny"
