  • US census

Can anyone help me please? I am looking for a relative Samuel Charles Harper c1836 Cheltenham who is last found in England on the 1861 census with no trace so far of his death between then and the 1871 census.
I have found the same name and age on a passenger list arriving on 15 Sep 1876 on the State of Indiana but shown as originating on the USA. The occupation is given as gentleman which I believe he could have been as the family had a printing business and were wealthy.
If anyone has access to the 1880 US census could they do a look up for me please?
    Thanks a lot.

          Many many thanks!!

          Wendy,
          Thank you so much!!

How did you find that? I have been searching on Harper names for two years now and putting it in anywhere and evrywhere I came across, even just Google!

I certainly think it must be my relative and will now see what other details I can get about him and his life 'down under'.

          Regards,
          Margaret
