confused

I received a marriage cert today for my sister-in-laws grandfather as I am researching her family as a surprise gift for her 50th birthday.
The address given on the cert as place of living at the time of the marriage is Morris Rd Bromley. The marriage was at the registry office in Poplar does anyone know the area please, is there a place called Bromley in Poplar. I looked at it and immediately thought if Bromley Kent but am I confusing the issue.
Help as I am having trouble finding the grandfathers father on the census for Poplar

Bromley by Bow, come under Poplar I think, Completely different from Bromley Kent

(Morris Road 17 minutes from Bromley by Bow tube station apparently)

use google maps to find Bromley in East London. I'd never heard of it until I researched husband's family. I grew up near Bromley in Kent and assumed it was the only one! Genealogy improves your geography-!
