  • Strickton Particular Baptist Chapel

Does anyone know where or what this might be, please? _ I am only guessing at the spelling - It is apparently in the Manchester area, probably near Altrincham and at a place beginning with "B" - and has been mentioned to me twice by someone whose background I am trying to research... (but cannot mention as he/she is still alive)

    Thanks

I think it is Strict and Particular Baptist Church, which is a branch of the Baprist Church the main one being known as General Baptists.

Looking at Streetmap.co.uk, there's a Bowdon near Altrincham to the south and a Broadheath to the north.

List of Bowden churches & chapels here: Cheshire Parishes : Bowdon
      and Broadheath here:

though I can't see anything that looks like what you are looking for.

Thank you both for your help. Mavis - Yes! I think you must be right - I'd never heard of Strict and Particular Baptists before, but see they even have their own Historical Society.
