sometimes when virgin PC guard is loading we get a red cross message saying that the parameter is incorrect. How can we stop this happening. Have tried many things but we seem to end up doing a system restore.

Reading around a bit, you have a problem with your pc guard, supplied by virgin broadband. a few places suggest you remove it and reistall it/or re download it from fresh, others say ditch it and get a different one.
Thanks Bren. I have often said that it may be a fault at virgins end and not ours but hey ho what do I know. Hubby knows more than me and the only way he has found to sort it is to do a system restore which isnt really the answer. Next time it happens I will suggest reinstalling PC guard..
