Are these the same person?

Following my thread about the uniform, now identified as Life Guards about 1920, I wondered whether this chap really was my grandfather?






for comparison, a photo, probably taken in the 1920's, that I am sure IS him.
I'm appalling at comparisons, and the photo in uniform was very badly mangled. It was torn across the face & I wonder if I have distorted it while trying to repair it.

thanks guys, by a process of elimination I'd decided he WAS my grand-dad, so I can now put it in the album & be sure I've got the right chap.
