Can anyone read the following occupation from a 1849 death certificate?

20254

All I can see is "Basker". I have had good 'Google' but can't seem to find anything relevant.

Many thanks

Broker?
Do you have him on 1841 census?

Thanks Kat.

In 1841 he is a carpenter, one of a long line!

there is a barker here - but not sure I can say that is what it says.

any other letters on the certificate to give clues?

Thanks Carolyn.

No clues from the letters on the rest of the certificate as far as I can see.

Mmmmm...

I am now thinking it is 'Br?ker' after blowing it up.
The second letter looks the same as the 'n' in 'fourteenth' and 'present'.

So Kat's suggestion of Broker looks possible.

I guess he was just selling furniture/carpentry rather than making it?
