  • Can you see Charles Austin on the 1891 census?

    I beileve he died in 1898 - registered in Maidenhead, Berkshire. I believe he was born in or around Wycombe, Berkshire (according to census) in 1815. He lived in Cookham Dean / Cookham in all the earlier census'.

    The only way to clarify if the death in 1898 is your nan is to purchase his dearth certificate

      The Charles who died Q2 1898 in the Maidenhead reg dist was aged 83 yrs according to the GRO death registration.
      Have you looked to see if any Berkshire burials (as opposed to deaths) are online? if so, they would probably state the parish where burial took place and if you are lucky enough to find the relevant PR images online, they could give additional information, such as abode at time of death, occupation etc.
