  • Parent problems!

    Morning all

I have hit a brick wall with James Poole and his wife Ann. They say they come from Worcs but I'm not finding a likely baptism. The parents that others have got as James parents look ok, but there are no naming traditions I don't see any James' or Edwins or Fredericks. I have just gone through 4 gens and ok there is a Thomas here and there, but it's the lack of renaming that is bothering me... am I seeing too much into this?

James Poole b. abt 1788 Worcs married Ann Laughton

20 Sep 1812 • Birmingham, St Philip, Warwickshire, England

they have 5 children that I have found and tracked.

    James
    Edwin
    Frederick
    Zillah
    Samuel Abel

now 'Abel' looks to be a family name as it does get passed down to subsequent Samuels...

what I can't pinpoint is WHO are James' b. 1788 parents!

          Hi Val,

this is whats confusing me!.. not sure that it's the Tanworth one, seems an awfully long way from brum. but by the same token so does Worcs!

not sure where to go with this... I'm leaning more towards the Thomas/Mary parents.. maybe that'll show the 'Abel' name somewhere..

I'm frantically looking and comparing all combinations, Thanks for lending a hand it is appreciated x
