Is there anyone out there that can access war correspondents or records, I'm trying to find out how he died on the 15th April 1918, along with several of his compatriates, and where.
    His name was
Gunner H R Sharplin of the Royal Field Artillery
    Gunner C Webber
    Gunner R Everett
All of the 41st battery 42nd brigade under the leadership of the 3rd Division of the British Expeditionary Force. All buried along side each other at Chocques Military Cemetery. France. Any input would but much appreciated. Thanks

Try googling and or all of the terms 41st battery 42nd Brigade 3rd Division BEF

There may well be something you can access for free online. I've found lots for my grandfather that way.
My grandmother, on the beach, South Bay, Scarborough, undated photo (poss. 1929 or 1930)

Researching Cadd, Schofield, Cottrell in Lancashire, Buckinghamshire; Taylor, Park in Westmorland; Hayhurst in Yorkshire, Westmorland, Lancashire; Hughes, Roberts in Wales.

After the Armistice it was found necessary to concentrate into this Cemetery (Plots II, III, IV and VI) a large number of isolated graves plus some small graveyards from the country between Chocques and Bethune. Among the small cemeteries thus removed were:-

ANNEZIN Communal Cemetery Extension, a short distance West of Bethune, made by the 3rd Division in April, 1918, which contained 38 graves.

Maybe try the "great war forum" for the diaries? It's a forum just like this one, but they specialise in the first world war. They were able to identify the regiments my great grandfathers served in, from photos of them in uniform.
