Is there anyone that can access British army records for WW2. According to family heresay these three brothers all served in the forces and allegedly two of them died on the burma railway, can anybody confirm this please, I've never found out regiments served in or records of any type.

William Charles Hall b. 1905 died in service
Sydney Fred Hall b.1901 died in service
Harold Ernest Hall b1909 returned home.

All sons of Frederick Charles Hall and Julia (Dyer) Hall

There is a well documented family tree on Ancestry that would suggest that these rumours maybe just that.

I've had a bit of a look around various military records and at the moment cannot find anyone / anything to support the rumour. If you get anything else and post it, I'll do some more digging.

Have you looked on the Commonwealth war grave site? If two of them were in the forces and allegedly died during the construction of the Burma railway, I would have thought that they may have war graves in one of the WW2 cemeteries and therefore be listed on the site.
