  • Leadbeater

Is anybody researching the surname Leadbeater? I am trying to trace the family of a Albert A R Leadbeater, born c.1898 in Shifnal/Albrighton, Shropshire. Married Sarah E Houghton in 1921. If anybody could help it would be greatly appreciated.

Phewww - it's taken me ages to work out why all the children had mothers maiden name as Jordon, when the only marriage for the parents appeared to be Richard C Leadbeater to Harriet Brotherton in Shifnal Dec 1864 ref 6a 1205. Until I realised that Harriet was born as BROTHERTON, HARRIET - GRO Reference: 1862 J Quarter in SHIFFNAL Volume 06A Page 601 with NO MMN, before her mother Sarah Brotherton married Edwin Jordon Dec 1864 in Shifnal ref 6a 1205.

This service record is not for Albert A R Leadbetter - it's for a plain Albert Leadbetter born in Dorking in 1897.
