I'm trying to find the correct Wood family of Martha Alice Wood, Her Father: Valentine Vickers Wood.
I can't find her living with her father anywhere!

The Marriage certificate arrived today for the marriage of Martha Alice Wood, Full age Spinster, of Mabelthorpe Windsor Road, Boscombe Hampshire. Father Valentine Vickers Wood, a Clerk in Holy Orders.
Spouse Henry Charles Pearcy Full Age, Bachelor, Assistant Secretary, of 9 Bury Rd Noel Park Wood Green. Father Joseph Pearcy Seed Merchant. Witnesses J or T S. Pollett and Annie Jane Wood.
(I know all about the Pearcy family)

You won't find Martha Alice in a census with her father. She was b 1874 and Valentine died 1879.

This is her in 1881 with mother

Just checked GRO Martha Alice b 1864 W Bromwich Reg mmn Woodhall as on marriage record.

Will look for her with father in 1871.

Can only see Annie Jane in 1871 aged 6 born Dunston Staffs Grandaughter with

Henry Wood Head 64 b Stafford Independent
Jane Wood 65 b Birmingham

Living Oldbury, Shropshire

Valentine Vickers Wood is with the above in 1851 aged 14 b ?Barrow, Shropshire

Just to help in the searching, Valentine Vickers Wood was a Lay Deacon. According to the Probate record, at the time of death in 1979, Basford, Notts, he was a Brickmaker

Martha Alice Wood's DOB it a bit off though. Maybe she lied about her age!!

I think they didn't seem to know their dobs.

I can see the same family as that of 1881 living in 1891 in Blackpool and 1901 in Great Yarmouth. Martha Alice calling herself Alice
They are consistent with places of birth.

All very confusing with their DOB's! I found soneone else researching the same family and he had come to the same conclusion.
