FMP (findmypast.co.uk) stated in their latest newsletter they have added mother's maiden names to the england and wales birth index 1837-1910 (post 1910 they are already included).

All the ones I have looked at have the mmn.
Edit - mine are Ipswich and Mildenhall Suffolk but not all Suffolk districts have mmn. Must be doing them gradually
