William married Elizabeth Bass in nearby Maulden and the couple then moved to Lidlington.

          Adam,

Did you know that by using www.familysearch.org you can search for many of the records pre 1837 yourself? many of our members actually have subscriptions to pay per view sites such as Ancestry or FindmyPast even ScotlandsPeople. Sometimes they have free weekends but it is worth looking out for these as they can help you out massively.

I've used FamilySearch many times but I am unable to view original records and many have not been indexed.
