My mother gave me the bible many years ago when I started doing Genealogy.I do know it has nothing to do with our family.
The circumstances with it are that it was given to Mum when she was 21yrs by a friend of my Grandma.In the front of the bible it states that it was presented to
an attendee at the Sunday School of Christ Church Salford in Hulme Street,Salford for 101 attendances & is dated Easter 1880.
Incidentally the person who gave the bible to Mum was not the same surname as that in the bible.
Although it was given to me by Mum I have always thought that once I no longer have her I would like to return it to the family who it should be with.
My Mum passed away in 2016 & I think it is time to let the bible find its way home.
I have looked for the person in Christ Church records but she is not there although there are others with the same surname.
Can anyone suggest what to do next please.
