  • Ancestry HTTP error 503

have been getting this a lot tonight, is it just me ?

I've been getting it all day, along with 'sorry this feature is not available'. Usually another click proves both wrong but its been very annoying. Also get the timer going round and round for ever on some pages. Have to click away to a different page then it will come to life again.

I have found that the error is normally caused by poor internet connection
I either wait a few minutes or disconnect / reconnect with my internet supplier

Not a poor internet connection on my part Brian! Its all on Ancestry, nothing else. I expect it will calm down again.

This error has been reported on the FB page for several days now. It seems to be intermittent for some, lasting several days for others (not clear if it is intermittent or continuous for them) - personally, I'm not getting the message at all (fingers crossed!!).

Its an annoyance rather than a real show stopper. Going 'back' or reloading the page or just trying again usually clears it. Lots of *#**### here though. Good job no one was in to hear me!
