  • Another term for an Upholsterer

    I am trying to find a man surname Young ,in any census between 1891 and 1911 as an Upholsterer, not having any luck, what else could he be called Thanks.

      I've tried googling for a synonym but had no luck.
      You could maybe try furnisher or furniture repairer, something like that. Maybe furni* to get any ending that might be there?

            I have seen a known upholsterer referred to as a 'upholder' but it could just have been an abbreviation or mis spelling.

                No you are quite right Anne, upholders were also upholsterers.. :smilee:
