Accessing a Tree invite on Ancestry

I have given somebody permission to view my tree, used his email address as I did not know his user name, he received the invite but he cannot access it ? any ideas.

Is he a member of Ancestry? If not he will need to create a free account before he can access your tree - but that should have hon up on his invite.

Thanks for reply ,yes he is a member Judith, I just asked him for his user name shall try that, seems odd though.

I had trouble like that once. It worked when I put the person's user name in instead of email.
