Anyone else researching the Surnames of Cusack or Cusick?
The Surname seems to have gone from Cusak in Ireland to Cusick in Scotland.
I'm helping my cousin to trace his family. He was born in Ireland and has the surname of Cusack, but his younger brother was born in Scotland and his name was Cusick..his aunt registered his birth!
Their father James CusIck was born in Glasgow in 1909. Died in Reading
Father Anthony Cusick, Mason’s Labourer. Mother Margaret Dunn
James Cusack Married 6th June 1937 in the RC Chapel in Chapelizod, Dublin
Spouse: Sheila Elizabeth Pollard in, Dublin Ireland. My Mum’s sister.
Both gave their address as St Brendans, Hamish Road, Cabra, Dublin.
Witnesses: Thomas Curtin (Sheila’s brother-in-law) & Ann Cusack
Death 9th August 1959 ANTHONY CUSACK aged 80, Builders, Labourer – retired, at 3 Bankhill Street, Glasgow. (Married to Margaret Dunn)
Father: John Cusack, Shoemaker (Deceased) Mother Ann Cusack nee Mugan (Deceased) son John Cusack of 95 Castlemilk Drive Glasgow was the informant of the death. (My cousin informs me that John Cusack is now deceased.) These ARE my cousins grandparents, Anthony Cusack & Margaret Dunn.
