I have tried everything I can think of to find this persons birth.
Mary Ellen Connell born 16th September 1873 (info from 1939 register)
Only info I have before her marriage is 1881
Father Patrick born 1843 Manchester Lancashire
Mother M born 1843 Manchester
Mary Ellen born 1873 Manchester
R L (son) born 1876 Manchester
Ann daughter born 1880 Manchester.
Class: RG11; Piece: 3979; Folio: 7; Page: 8; GSU roll: 1341950
37 Jersey Street Manchester.
This is the address on her marriage cert too, so I know I am on the right track. The other family listed are not connected, this live next door
married James Ogley in Manchester 1892. On the marriage Patrick was a cotton waste dealer. I have all her details after this.
I have contacted the Manchester Archives they cannot find her being born in Manchester.
The Mary Ellen born in 1871 Wigan is not her, or the one in Stepney in 1873 or the one in Preston in 1874.
I have checked these and none of them had a father Patrick.
I know the family were Catholic and Irish
Any help greatly appreciated, I am at a loss now
