  • Just out of Curiosity...

    I recently downloaded a death register from Scotlands People (see attached) for a relative Mary Williamson.
    On the same page are two other entries for Douglas Allwood and Reginald Morrell, both apparently killed in a airplane accident whilst in the RAF during WW2 (see the attached for all the details.)

    Question is - bearing in mind the date and details from the register why are there no entries on CWGC site for their deaths ?

    I can't read all the attachment clearly, but doesn't it record death dates of August 1939 for both men? War was declared on 11.15 on 3 September 1939, therefore the two men were not casualties of war.

          I can read all but the informant's name for the second man. Date of death was 1st August in both cases so concur with previous answers. It was before declaration of war.
